Fostering the spirit of the adventure and indomitable traditions of the Indian Army, a Trekking Expedition across Zanksar Range was flagged off on August 1 by Snow Leopard Brigade in Super High Altitude Area. 

The expedition team comprising one Officer, one Junior Commissioned Officer, and 12 other Ranks will go over the challenging and treacherous terrain of Ladakh and will cover a distance of 250 km over 12 days negotiating heights ranging from 16000 ft to 19000 ft in unexplored and snowclad areas. 

The expedition aims at fostering the spirit of adventure challenging both the mind and body and simultaneously creating a better understanding of the rich nature, flora & fauna of Ladakh.
