IGP Ladakh meets CEC Kargil, discuss various issues

Inspector General of Police, Ladakh, S S Khandare discussed various issues with Feroz Ahmad Khan, CEC, Hill Council, Kargil on August 23 at Council Secretariat
Discussion was held on recruitment of Police personnel in UT Ladakh, creation of Police Sub Division, up-gradation of Police Stations, creation and establishment of Police Training School with sports facilities, the temporary establishment of IGP Office at Kargil, construction of Police Residential Quarters at Kargil and other related issues.
SSP Kargil, Dr. Vinod Kumar, and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.
Satish Khandare assured CEC Kargil that active consideration would be given to all these issues and steps for fulfillment would be taken up in a phased manner.
He informed that 800 vacant posts in Ladakh Police will be filled up once the Government notifies the Domicile Law. Besides, the IGP Office in Kargil will be set up in a temporary building until a permanent infrastructure is established.
He also said that the Police Public School Kargil will be established as a model school with hostel facilities for both boys and girl students.
Meanwhile, Feroz Ahmed Khan expressed gratitude to the IGP Ladakh for exemplary cooperation with the District Administration Kargil ensuring deployment of adequate manpower during this COVID-19 pandemic.
