ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Regional Research Station, Leh marked World Environment Day on June 5 at Tsogti village. 

Head, Regional Research Station, Leh, Dr. R.K. Goyal (Principal Scientist) briefed about the programme and said in today’s time, due to excessive exploitation and pollution of natural resources, the environment of the earth has been badly affected. 

He said, “It is time to think, we all together have to awaken to follow their moral duties towards environmental protection.”

Dr. Mahesh Gaur made farmers aware of environmental protection and also highlighted the theme for this year for environment day “Only One Earth” and “Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature”.

Around 12 farmers of Tsogsti village participated in the event and interacted with the scientists.
