Hundreds attend 19th Gyalsras Bakula Rinpoche’s statue unveiling in Delhi

A ceremony was held at Ladakh Buddha Vihara in Delhi on February 10 at which statue of 19th Gyalsras Bakula Rinpoche was unveiled. Tsewang Thinlas, President, Ladakh Buddhist Association was the chief guest on the ceremony. A large number of monks also participated in the consecration ceremony of the statue.
Sonam Gyatso, Secretary, Ladakh Buddhist Vihara in his welcome speech elaborated the Ladakh Buddhist Vihara, Delhi initiatives and future plans.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Geshe Namtak of Spituk Khamtsan and Ven. Lama Lobzang. A book was also released on this auspicious occasion written by an eminent scholar Nawang Tsering Shakspo.
Rinchen Namgyal, President Youth Wing LBA presented the vote of thanks and expressed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the people.
He expressed his heartfelt thanks to Tsering Dorjey Spon Lukhil in installing of a statue at the Vihara and Nawang Chasang Saboo for his generous contribution on this occasion.
Ladakh Student Welfare Society Delhi presented a cultural programme on the ocassion.
Eminent dignitaries were present on the occasion which included His Eminence Urgain Rinpoche ,Venerable Lama Lobzang, former Member of ST/SC Commission, Tsewang Nurboo President, Lamdon Social Welfare Society Leh, Dolma Tsering ,Secretary,LBA Women Wing, Ishey Tundup, Principal,Lamdon School Leh, Representative of Tibetian Settlement from MT and Buddha Vihara Delhi and a large number of Ladakhi devotees that thronged the venue and participated in the function.
