His Eminence Chosje Togdan Rinpoche awarded Padma Bhushan posthumously
In another historic milestone for the people of Ladakh, the Government of India has posthumously conferred the prestigious "Padma Bhushan," the nation's third-highest civilian award, upon the revered His Eminence late Chosje Togdan Rinpoche of Ladakh.
Honoring this significant occasion, Tashi Gyalson, Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Leh extended heartfelt congratulations and warm greetings on behalf of LAHDC Leh and the entire Ladakh community. He expressed immense pride for Ladakh and acknowledged the well-deserved recognition bestowed upon the late Rinpoche by the Government of India, led by the President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
His Eminence Chosje Togdan Rinpoche remembered as a respected spiritual leader, a beacon of wisdom, and a source of inspiration for all, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of the people. Tashi Gyalson congratulated Rinpoche’s family members and the entire Ladakh community, emphasizing the moment as a source of pride.
In his remarks, he conveyed heartfelt prayers for the swift reincarnation of Rinpoche, hoping for his return to guide the community toward compassion, harmony, and enlightenment.
MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal described the day as a momentous occasion for Ladakh. He congratulated Rinpoche's family and the people of Ladakh for this well-deserved recognition.
“It serves as a source of pride for the Union Territory of Ladakh, acknowledging Rinpoche's wisdom and dedication to his lifelong socio-religious and political endeavors, particularly in preserving the Bhoti Language”, he added.
He further added, “As we celebrate this recognition, we offer prayers for the swift reincarnation of His Eminence. May he guide us once again in compassion, harmony, and enlightenment.”
