Hill Council, Leh, to provide fund for engaging contractual teachers in Govt. schools
Given the shortage of teaching staffs in various Govt. Schools of Leh district, the Hill Council Leh led by the Chairman/CEC and the Dy Chairman/EC Education has decided to provide fund to engage 80 subject teachers for different subjects through outsourcing on a contractual basis.
The officials have directed Chief Education Officer, Leh to timely submit list of vacancies in all schools so that the actual process gets started as soon as possible.
In their messages, the officials have also stated that such steps would help resolve issues of academic losses to students studying in various Govt. schools due to shortages of subject teachers.
CEC Gyalson further added that the idea is to fill the gaps of shortages of subject teacher especially for languages of Bhoti, Hindi and Science, etc. He also stated that this step would also ease issues of unemployment among the young generation of the district temporarily.
