Hill Council, Leh, sanctions ₹20 lakh to Asoka Mission
Hill Council, Leh decided to sanction an amount of ₹ 20 lacs from the account of Hill Council, Leh Dhana Petrol Pump as a contribution in favour of Asoka Mission as financial assistance on March 1.
The donation is for the poor patients of Ladakh, looked after by Asoka Mission at Delhi where most of the patients are getting treatment from different hospital.
‘Dana Petrol Pump’ was established in 2015 at Tyare-rong by Hill Council, Leh with an MoU with HPCL. This pump is one of the unique pumps of its kind in India as the profit generated from this pump used for giving financial help to the needy and poor patients of Leh district seeking treatment from outside Ladakh.
Asoka Mission lead by Ven. Lama Lobzang besides helping needy and poor patients of Ladakh at Delhi helped to get proper and timely treatment.
Also, they are providing commendable health services to the poor and needy people of Ladakh by organising medical camps of specialist doctors from AIIMS and other reputed medical institutes of the nation in SNM Hospital, Leh and Kargil Hospital from decades.
