Hill Council, Leh expressed heartfelt condolences on the demise of former Union Minister and Member Parliament of Ladakh P Namgyal on June 1.

A two-minute silence was also observed to show respect to the departed soul.

Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Hill Council, Leh along with Executive Councillors remembered P. Namgyal’s contribution to the welfare and development of Ladakh. They decided to take up with UT Administration Ladakh for giving State Honour and declaring a holiday on the funeral day of P. Namgyal.

He served the region as a Member of Parliament three times and Union Deputy Minister for Surface Transport and Parliamentary Affairs and Union Minister for State, Chemicals and Petrochemical and Parliamentary Affairs.
