Hill Council, Leh bids farewell to Commissioner Secretary Rigzin Samphel
Hill Council, Leh accorded warm farewell to the outgoing Commissioner Secretary, UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel (IAS) on April 6 at Grand Dragon Hotel, Leh.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson appreciated the selfless contribution of the outgoing Commissioner Secretary, Rigzin Samphel, especially in laying the foundation for the newly established Union Territory of Ladakh. He highlighted that Rigzin Samphel has been a jewel for Ladakh and has left a lasting impression on the people of Ladakh.
Commissioner Secretary, Rigzin Samphel shared his working experience. He appreciated the coordination between LAHDC, Leh, and the UT Administration during his tenure. He also shared that it was a dream come true for him to work for the people of Ladakh.
He also highlighted that LAHDC is a premier institution and the public representatives of LAHDC have a big responsibility on their shoulders to work for the people of Ladakh. He expressed his hope to see Ladakh prospering in the future.
MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal expressed his gratitude to Commissioner Secretary Rigzin Samphel and stated that he was an impactful bureaucrat, and the Ladakhi people would never forget his contribution in all the sectors.
Opposition leader, Tsering Namgyal stated that Commissioner Secretary Rigzin Samphel is truly a son of Ladakh, and the people of Ladakh would never forget his selfless contribution to the betterment of Ladakh.
