Healthcare delivery, teleconsultation and ambulance services reviewed at Sub-District Hospital Nubra
Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Mukul Beniwal (IAS), visited Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nubra on National Doctor’s Day on July 1 and reviewed its functioning with the Block Medical Officer, doctors and hospital staff. He also discussed measures to strengthen healthcare services across the district.
During the review, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the hospital's overall functioning, including OPD and IPD services, the availability of essential medicines, progress in ABHA registration through village-wise and Anganwadi campaigns, and biomedical waste management in compliance with the Solid Waste Management Rules.
Key issues raised during the meeting included staff vacancies, the need to strengthen teleconsultation services and the requirement for additional 108 ambulance services during the peak tourist season.
The Deputy Commissioner invited suggestions from the medical staff on improving the functioning of the hospital and enhancing healthcare services for the people of Nubra.
He directed the concerned officials to adopt a proactive approach in addressing issues requiring intervention from the District Administration and emphasised the importance of holding regular review meetings to monitor progress and further improve healthcare delivery at the hospital.
On the occasion of National Doctor’s Day, the Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the dedication and commitment of doctors and healthcare workers in providing quality medical care to the people of the district.
