Hall of Fame in Leh reopens for this year's tourist season Voted as a “Must Visit” place in a 2016 survey by Trip Advisor

With a grand military band display evening, Hall of Fame reopens for the tourist season on April 22 in Leh. 

Lieutenant General PJS Pannu, General Officer Commanding, 14 Corps, Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC, officers, ex-service gallantry awards winners were present at the occasion.

The evening marked with the word of remembrance and tribute to the Late Brig Manohar Sharma.

The military band played and marched on the various patriotic and military tunes. Inspiring the crowd gathered with the sense of nationalism, a fusion band was also displayed by the Ladakh Scout Regimental Centre.

Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to showcase the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Army and to highlight the rich culture and heritage of the Ladakh region.  The place was expanded and renovated in the year 2015 to provide better outlook and experience to the visitors and to enhance the image of Indian Army and soldiers of Ladakh.  The major up-gradation and expansion of the Hall of Fame Complex include war memorial, war cemetery, and Adventure Park.

The museum maintained by the Indian army has topped the list of five Indian museums which figured among the 25 best museums in Asia.
