Chairperson, Haj Committee UT of Ladakh, Mohd Ali Majaz and Member of Haj Committee Mohammad Ali Chandan met Advisor, Dr. Pawan Kotwal on November 18 and discussed various issues related to the Haj Committee, UT of Ladakh.

During the meeting, it was deliberated upon how to make proper arrangements in advance for the intending Haj Pilgrims of UT Ladakh for Haj-2024.

The committee also briefed about the opening of a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) at Kargil. It was requested to take up the issue with Passport Authorities for prioritization of the issuance of Passports to the intending Haj Pilgrims of UT Ladakh.

The committee also discussed the allocation of the budget including a separate budget head for Haj Committee Ladakh, allocation of land, funding pattern for the construction of Haj Houses at Leh and Kargil, and operationalization of the Haj Committee Office at Kargil.
