Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, inaugurated the upgradation of Government Middle School Faroona to a High School under the Samagra Shiksha scheme on November 20.

Dr. Akhoon praised the collaborative efforts of Councillor Sajjad Khan and Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain in facilitating the school’s upgradation. MP Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa, commended Councillor Sajjad Khan’s dedication and pledged ongoing support for enhancing educational infrastructure. He called upon the local community to actively participate in the school’s development.

Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain urged parents to take an active role in improving the school’s quality and assured that the Hill Council would extend full support to ensure the success of the upgradation initiative.

CEO Kargil, S.D. Namgyal, pledged to promptly address staffing issues and provide the necessary resources for the smooth functioning of the newly upgraded High School.

Councillor Sajjad Khan expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, the CEC, MP Ladakh, EC Education, and other stakeholders for their combined efforts in making the upgradation a reality.
