Fire and Fury Corps celebrates 78th Independence Day with patriotic zeal in Leh
All ranks of Fire and Fury Corps celebrated 78 th Independence Day with zeal and patriotic fervour on August 15.
Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), Lieutenant Governor UT of Ladakh and Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, SC**, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps laid wreaths at the Hall of Fame War Memorial, Leh to honour the fallen soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in defending the integrity of the Nation and ensuring the borders remained secure.
Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), Lieutenant Governor UT of Ladakh complimented the Army for its devotion to duty and indomitable spirit while serving under trying and difficult conditions. He acknowledged the invaluable contribution of Indian Army in maintaining the sanctity of the Nation’s borders in Ladakh region with fortitude and courage and also the contribution in nation building.
