To boost enrolment in government schools, SDM, Shakar Chiktan, Abdul Gaffar Zargar attended an enrolment drive at Government High School Bodhkharbu on November 10.

Councilor Stakchey Khangral, Padma Dorjey, Sarpanches, Panches, villagers, and VeC members of the school and parents were present in the program. 
SDM, Abdul Gaffar Zargar said that the program was aimed to raise awareness among the local communities about the importance of education and various facilities being provided to the students in Government Schools and encourage parents to enroll their children in government schools.

While stressing the significance of education in the overall development of the district, he encouraged the enthusiastic participation of the teachers and parents.
The SDM urged parents to prioritize education and enroll children in government schools for a brighter future and avail the benefits of various schemes aimed at promoting education. 

“Government schools have qualified teachers and offer scholarships for all, special assistance for girl students, while books, uniforms, and free mid-day meals are provided free. These facilities are designed to provide an interactive learning environment and ensure that students receive quality education without financial constraints”, he said.

He informed the villagers that funds had been sanctioned for the construction and upgradation of the school.

Councilors, PRI members, villagers appreciated the efforts of the SDM in organizing such programs. They assured to increase the enrolment in the school in the coming season.
