In a significant initiative to empower the youth of the region, the Ladakh Police organized a Cyber Awareness cum Career Counseling Session for students of the University of Ladakh on April 10, 2025.

Ishtiaq Ahmed Kacho, JKPS, Superintendent of Police, addressed the gathering and emphasized the rising importance of cyber awareness in today’s increasingly digital world. He encouraged students to remain vigilant against cyber threats and informed them about the vast career opportunities in law enforcement and cybersecurity.

Also present were DySP (IT) Kunzes Dolma, JKPS, and Inspector James Dechen, SO IT PHQ, who delivered informative presentations on topics including online safety, responsible digital behavior, and the integration of technology in modern policing. They also engaged with students, responding to queries about career pathways in the police and IT sectors, and offered valuable guidance on recruitment procedures and skill development.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who appreciated the initiative taken by Ladakh Police to connect technology, safety, and career guidance in a meaningful and interactive manner.

This event reflects the Ladakh Police’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, youth engagement, and proactive efforts to build a safe and informed society.
