Executive Councilor, RD&PRD, Er. Punchok Tashi reviewed physical and financial progress achieved under various schemes under District Panchayat Office Kargil on February 5.

The meeting was attended by Padma Angmo, District Panchayat Officer, the Executive Engineer of Rural Engineering Wing (REW), and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) from various blocks, along with other relevant officers.

District Panchayat Officer Kargil provided a comprehensive presentation on the progress made across various components, including the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). Construction of solid waste management, construction of segregation shed plant, grey water management, construction of bunds, kuls, and various other works were reviewed.

While expressing satisfaction over the progress achieved, EC directed all the officers to book the remaining expenditure at the earliest. He also directed to submit bills to the treasury office well before time.

Tashi requested all BDOs to submit plans for the year 2024- 2025 to the council office for proper consultation and also to avoid duplicity of works.

Recognizing the accomplishments of the department, he praised the tangible impact of the RD&PRD initiatives on the ground. Furthermore, he appreciated the officers for the successful implementation of projects in the field.
