A review meeting on the utility of already completed projects under Soil Conservation and progress of ongoing projects under Capex Budget 2020-21 in the district was convened by EC, Minority Affairs, and Forest Ghulam Mehdi on November 13 at Council Secretariat.

Divisional Soil Conservation Officer Leh, Tundup Dorjey informed that as compared to last year's Capex Budget of ₹ 40 lakh, this year's Capex budget approved ₹ 1.72 crore for Soil Conservation Department which is four times more than the last year budget.

The officer was directed to complete a survey of new works at the earliest and to ensure timely completion and quality of all the projects.
