Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, District Magistrate Kargil on April 8, appealed the religious heads and people in the district not to hold any religious congregation in the district on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat (night of blessings) in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

He urged the religious heads and people to follow the directions and guidelines issued by the Health Department adding that the protocol especially social distancing should be followed in true spirit.

Baseer has appealed people to commemorate Shab-e-Baraat at their homes and avoid social gatherings for their own safety and the safety of other people as well.

DM has also urged people to pray for the safety and wellbeing of the humankind during Shab-e-Baraat in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
