Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh reviews Revenue Department of Leh Over 800 kanals encroachments cleared in Leh
Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh, Saugat Biswas chaired a review meeting of the Revenue Department, Leh on March 15. The set targets for the writing of Jamabandi of 32 villages assigned in the previous revenue meeting were achieved.
He further assigned targets for the writing of Jamabandi of villages to be completed before Girdawari. The writing of Girdawari registers and crop inspection were also discussed in the meeting. The field functionaries submitted their due reports; the Divisional Commissioner directed the field staff to complete the Girdawari registers as per schedule before the next crop inspection. It was also advised to the field functionaries to enter the sown crops which are actually grown in the field during the Girdawari period. The status of attestation of Mutations was also discussed and the Divisional Commissioner pressed hard upon the officers to dispose of all the pending Mutations by organizing ‘mutation camps’ before April 15, 2022.
It was apprised in the meeting that over 807 Kanals of state lands were evicted during the recent eviction drive initiated in different sub-divisions. Furthermore, the Divisional Commissioner impressed upon the SDMs and Tehsildars to remove encroachments from all state lands and directed them to keep a constant vigil on such encroachments.
The Divisional Commissioner lauded the field staff for completing their targets and directed them to complete all the works assigned to them from time to time apart from their routine works.
