District Tuberculosis Forum was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer Leh, Dr. Motup Dorjey on August 24 at District TB office Leh. 

The forum deliberated on various aspects such as to increase the awareness about TB in the society, the importance of community participation, inter-sectoral coordination, efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with TB, and political and administrative commitments, among others.

Padma Shri awardee Dr. Tsering Norboo (Physician Specialist Retd.); Dy. CMO Leh, Dr. Manzoor-ul-Haq; District TB Officer Leh, Dr. Nurzin Angmo; President Women Alliance, Tsering Chondol; representatives from TCV, TB champions, and family members of TB patients were also present.
