District Police Leh arrests 3 drug paddlers, recovers 986 grams of charas
District Police Leh arrested three persons and recovered 986 grams of charas-like substances from their possession on November 16.
On November 15 evening, the patrolling party of Police Post Choglamsar during a routine patrolling at Shey-Sindu Ghat area at about 16:40 hours found one vehicle bearing registration number HP34E 1930 parked at an isolated place under suspicious condition. Upon seeing the vehicle the In charge patrolling party approached the vehicle and asked the driver of the vehicle to produce the relevant documents of the vehicle but the driver was unable to produce the document and started making excuses, on which the Patrolling party became suspicious and searched the vehicle. There were other three persons inside the vehicle namely, Yograj S/o Roop Das R/o Dhamadi Kullu Himachal Pradesh; Tak Ram S/o Sher Singh R/o Shikhari, Kullu Himachal Pradesh (Driver) and Tsering Tamchos S/o Tashi Murup R/o Skyanos Leh.
Upon search of the vehicle and the person, the police party recovered 986 grams of charas-like substances.
Subsequently, FIR No. 204/2023 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act is registered at Police Station Leh and further investigation is going on.
