District Police Kargil hosts entrepreneurship workshop under civic action program
Under the leadership of SSP Kargil, Shree Raam R, District Police Kargil organized an entrepreneurship workshop on December 10 to promote entrepreneurship and support start-ups in the region.
The event, held as part of the civic action program, saw active participation from aspiring entrepreneurs, Handloom sector trainees, and ITI Kargil students.
Experts and resource persons from leading banks, including J&K Bank and HDFC Bank, as well as representatives from government departments such as Handlooms, Handicrafts, and Industries, shared valuable insights on government schemes and financial loans available for start-ups. Informative stalls set up by various departments and banks further enhanced the participants’ understanding of available services and resources.
Deputy Superintendent DAR, Tundup, attended the workshop as the chief guest. SHO Kargil, Kacho Sadat Ali, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the critical role of entrepreneurship in driving the socio-economic development of the region.
Throughout the event, resource persons provided in-depth presentations on government initiatives designed to support budding entrepreneurs. Interactive sessions equipped participants with practical knowledge and opportunities to build networks, creating a solid foundation for future ventures.
In his closing address, Deputy Superintendent DAR expressed gratitude to the participants and resource persons, commending their dedication. He reiterated District Police Kargil's unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Kargil in every possible way.
