In a significant step towards protecting youth and strengthening community support systems, the District Police Changthang has launched a Drugs and Cyber Crime Counselling Helpline for residents of the district.

Superintendent of Police, Changthang, Z.A. Jafari (JKPS), announced the initiative, which aims to provide guidance, counselling, and assistance to individuals affected by drug abuse, substance addiction, and cyber-related crimes.

Members of the public can seek confidential counselling, support, or share information by contacting the helpline at 9541927085.
The initiative is intended to strengthen de-addiction efforts, promote cyber awareness, and encourage the timely reporting of cyber fraud and other online offences. It forms part of the District Police Changthang's ongoing efforts to build a Drug-Free Changthang while ensuring a safe and secure digital environment for all citizens.

The police noted that recent awareness and de-addiction campaigns across the Changthang region have highlighted the importance of community participation in preventing substance abuse and addressing cyber threats.

Superintendent of Police Z.A. Jafari appealed to the public—particularly parents, teachers, youth, and community leaders—to actively support the initiative and make use of the helpline whenever needed.
