District De-addiction Centre celebrates Women’s Day, promotes mental health awareness
The District De-addiction Centre (DDAC), Leh celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm on March 8. The programme aimed to recognise the important role and contributions of women in society while promoting awareness about health and wellbeing.
On the occasion, Dr. Padma Angmo, Psychiatrist, attended the programme and shared valuable insights on mental health, highlighting the importance of supporting women in maintaining emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Members of the Cultural and Traditional Society (CATS) presented vibrant cultural performances that beautifully reflected the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the region.
The programme was attended by staff members of DDAC Leh and students, whose active participation added meaning and inspiration to the celebration.
The event concluded with appreciation for the contributions and achievements of women, along with a renewed commitment to promoting their wellbeing and empowerment in society.
