Disaster Management training program concludes in Kargil
The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kargil, in collaboration with Aapda Mitra Volunteers, UTDRF, Fire and Emergency, Health Department, and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD), successfully concluded a comprehensive training program on disaster response, relief, and rescue on December 21.
The program spanned Gram Panchayats in Kargil, Taisuru, and Sankoo blocks, including Panchayat Badgam, Purtikchay, Khawos, and Barsoo. The sessions witnessed active participation from BDOs, Aapda Volunteers, PRI members, Numberdars, volunteers from religious organizations, NGOs, local residents (including women), and others.
The primary objective of this training initiative was to equip individuals with essential disaster response skills, emphasizing preparedness and prompt action. The program aimed to fortify the community's resilience in handling various emergency scenarios.
Conducted by Aapda volunteers, UTDRF personnel, and seasoned experts, the training featured hands-on demonstrations, imparting crucial skills necessary to navigate diverse disaster situations effectively. Emphasizing proactive measures, the program sought to enhance the community's ability to respond swiftly and effectively during a crisis.
The training sessions focused on empowering participants with practical knowledge in administering first aid for injuries sustained during unforeseen incidents. By prioritizing practical learning, the program ensured that individuals gained indispensable skills for a well-informed and efficient response in emergencies.
