Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR), Leh conferred with Defence Technology Spin off Award – 2018 during DRDO Award function held at DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi on December 18.

Dr. OP Chaurasia, Director, DIHAR received the award from Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh.

The award was conferred in recognition of the significant contribution made by the organization in terms of successful development of low-cost agro-animal technologies for the Ladakh sector and translation of its research at a grassroots level and making an excellent contribution in increasing farm productivity, crop diversification and improving socio-economic condition of the tribal farmers in trans-Himalayan Ladakh region.
