His Eminence Thiksey Khanpo Rinpoche, Former Rajya Sabha Member, Thupstan Chhewang, Former MP, and Chering Dorjay Lakrook, Former Minister met Lieutenant Governor, R K Mathur regarding the Sixth schedule demand on September 23 at Raj Niwas.

The delegation presented a copy of the memorandum to the Lieutenant Governor and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi demanding inclusion of Ladakh under the Sixth Schedule and their decision to boycott the 6th LAHDC, Leh election.

 They assured to peacefully follow all democratic as well as Covid-19 norms in their activities.

R K Mathur stated that the demand has been addressed to him for the first time and assured to refer it to the Government of India.
