Sachin Kumar Vaishya, DC, Leh flagged off a water conservation campaign rally themed catch the Rain’ on February 15.

Volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Leh participated in the rally.  ‘Catch the Rain’ is an awareness generation campaign launched by National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghathan, Ministry of Youth Services and Sports.

ADC, Leh, Sonam Chosjor, and Tajamul Ara, District Youth Officer  NYK  Leh were also present.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Leh in collaboration with District Administration Leh will be organising an awareness programme in selected 50 villages across the Leh district. The aim is to educate the youth leaders, volunteers on Water Conservation, Rain Water harvesting, minimizing wastage, and re-using the water.
