DC Leh ensure smooth CBSE winter examination preparation
Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve assessed the preparations for the upcoming CBSE Examinations during the winter season.
Chief Education Officer provided a comprehensive overview of the arrangements made for the winter coaching of students in classes 10th and 12th. He outlined plans to establish 23 teaching centers catering to 1045 students across the region.
DC Leh emphasised the significance of introducing CBSE in government schools in Ladakh, acknowledging the potential challenges students may face during this transition. He highlighted the winter coaching initiative as a preemptive measure to provide guidance before the pre-board examinations. DC Leh directed all Zone Education Officers (ZEOs) to ensure the success of this program.
In a stern directive, DC Leh instructed all faculty members of the education department to shoulder their responsibilities diligently. He warned of strict action, including suspension, for any lapses, emphasizing the critical nature of this initiative for the future of the students.
Chief Education Officer, during the meeting, appealed to DC Leh for essential facilities such as ration, drinking water, and solar water heaters at residential hostels. DC Leh promptly instructed the CEO to submit a list of requirements at the earliest. Further, CEO informed that the process would commence on December 25 with the 2nd Pre-board Exams, and the winter coaching itself would start from January 1, 2024.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh stressed the need for proper heating facilities at all coaching centers and instructed the education department to submit a proposal regarding the additional incentive to be given to the staff.
In conclusion, he instructed all the officials to ensure a seamless transition to CBSE in Ladakh's government schools and providing necessary support to students during the winter coaching sessions.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer, Leh; Deputy CEO and District Education Planning Officer, Leh. Additionally, all Zonal Education Officers of Leh District participated in the meeting virtually.
