DC Kargil participates in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Baroo
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program for Ward No. 12 Baroo was conducted at Government Boys' Higher Secondary School on December 21, drawing the presence of significant local figures and community representatives.
Administrator MC/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Councilor Baroo-Minji, Advocate Khadim Hussain, Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Shafaqat Ali Khan, line departments, beneficiaries besides other concerned officers were present during the event.
Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Suse encouraged public engagement with the accessible Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, stressing the importance of utilizing the Ayushman Bharat schemes for maximum health benefits. He highlighted key schemes such as PM Kisan, Vishwakarma, and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), urging citizens to take advantage of these opportunities for their welfare.
Expressing contentment with the Yatra's progress since its commencement on November 15, encompassing 90 Panchayats, the DC noted the acknowledgment received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Kargil's proactive efforts in executing the Sankalp Yatra. He also announced plans for similar outreach camps district-wide for the holistic welfare of the public.
Administrator MC-Kargil/JD-Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho expressed gratitude to departments involved in ensuring the event's success, emphasizing the Yatra's objective to extend scheme benefits directly to the citizens' doorsteps. He urged active public participation in fostering a cleaner Kargil, commending the tireless efforts of MC Kargil's sanitation workers in maintaining town cleanliness.
Councilor Baroo-Minji, Advocate Khadim Hussain, praised the District Administration's efforts in bringing central-sponsored schemes closer to the public and Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Shafqat Ali Khan thanked dignitaries and beneficiaries for contributing to the event's success.
The event provided beneficiaries with information and services related to various centrally sponsored schemes by departments including Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, ICDS, Health, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Industries, J&K Bank, and ICICI Bank, among others.
Department representatives elaborated extensively on their diverse welfare schemes. At Imam Bargah Baroo (Ward No. 11), 32 ABHA Cards were generated, 18 Aadhaar Cards updated, and 45 e-KYC for Ration Cards completed. Additionally, 24 individuals received OPD services, and 27 individuals had their blood pressure checked.
Moreover, at Government Boys' Higher Secondary Baroo (Ward No. 12), 45 ABHA Cards were issued, 62 Ration Card eKYCs were completed, and 35 Aadhaar Cards updated. The OPD catered to 32 individuals, with 47 individuals receiving blood pressure checks.
