A meeting regarding the status of COVID-19 in Tibetan settlement areas and old age home at Choglamsar was convened by Commissioner Secretary Health, Rigzin Samphel on September 11.

Director Health Services UT Ladakh, Chief Medical Officer, Leh, and Chief Representative Officer, Tibetan Settlement, Ladakh were present in the meeting. 

Commissioner Secretary ordered the posting of a dedicated doctor and 5 nurses to the Tibetan Settlement, Choglamsar to assist the local doctors and staff present there. Also, he assured all possible help to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Representative Officer, Tibetan settlement, Ladakh expressed his gratitude to the UT Administration for the cooperation in handling the COVID-19 crisis in the Tibetan settlement.  

Commissioner Secretary also visited Tibetan Old Age Home along with the Director Health Services and Chief Medical Officer.
