Commissioner Secretary and Managing Director of SIDCO,  Bhupesh Choudhury, IAS, visited the SIDCO Office in Kargil on November 8. The visit was attended by SIDCO officials and the ARTO Kargil.

During the visit, Bhupesh Choudhury inspected ongoing works at the office premises, including the SIDCO Yard, Cement Store, Weighing Bridge, and the old building.

He later convened a meeting with officials, where the team presented a visual briefing on the ongoing loan disbursement process under various SIDCO schemes.

Choudhury directed the District Manager, SIDCO Kargil, to coordinate with the Executive Engineer, R&B Kargil, for preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the maintenance of the yard, office building, and access roads. He also emphasized expediting the current loan disbursement process and ensuring timely execution of the next phase.

Additionally, the MD advised proposing the establishment of a petrol pump at a suitable vacant plot in Kargil to meet local industrial and logistical requirements.
