Chuchot PHC introduces state-of-the-art health ATM for quick medical tests

The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Limited and Manav Vikas Sanstha inaugurated advanced health machines at the Primary Health Centre in Chuchot on June 28.

The Chuchot Primary Health Centre has made a significant advancement in healthcare by installing a state-of-the-art Health ATM machine. This cutting-edge device can diagnose over 46 health parameters, providing residents with quick and comprehensive health screenings.

Incharge CMO/DTO Leh, Dolma Choskit, emphasized the convenience and efficiency of the Health ATM. She also inquired about the machine's durability during winter, noting that it is crucial for the machine to function properly during the harsh winter months when technical issues are more likely to arise.

Amit Kumar, Deputy General Manager and Regional Manager (Northern Region) of ECGC Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for this new addition, highlighting its benefits for the community. "This initiative demonstrates that the central and state governments are actively working towards providing quality and advanced healthcare to people in rural areas," he said.

Earlier, Kartikeya Tewari, Assistant VP of Manav Vikas Sanstha, provided an extensive overview of the Health ATM. The machine offers a wide range of screenings, including measurements of height, weight, body temperature, blood glucose, haemoglobin levels, ECG, and blood pressure. It also performs both invasive and non-invasive blood tests, heart checkups, and tests for dengue, malaria, and typhoid, among others.

With the introduction of the Health ATM, the Chuchot Primary Health Centre is set to enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services, ensuring that residents receive timely and accurate medical information. This initiative is a testament to the government's ongoing efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure in rural areas.

The event was attended by Dolma Choskit, Incharge CMO, Leh; the Councillor, Chuchot Constituency, Mirza Hussain; Councillor, Phyang Constituency, Tundup Nurboo; BMO Chuchot, Dr. Nurboo Angchuk; as well as other doctors, nurses, and staff of PHC Chuchot. Representatives from Manav Vikas Sanstha, including Secretary (MVS), Tarun Diwan; Assistant VP (MVS), Kartikeya Tewari; AGM (MVS), Amit Kumar; and Senior Manager (MVS), Madan Bairwa, along with concerned officials and officers, were also present.
