Regarding the formulation of environmental policy for Leh district, Phunchok Stanzin, EC Agriculture & Environment who is also the Chairman District Advisory Committee on Environment (DACE) convened a meeting with Jor Goji, President All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association and Tsetan Angchuk, President ALTOA in his office chamber on January 29.

Punchok requested president Hotel Association and ALTOA to prepare an inclusive, sustainable and environmental friendly tourism-related proposal for Leh district and submit it to DACE in a week time. Based on which a meeting of all the stakeholders including district administration, Leh, MC, Leh, Police, District Officer PCB, and Tourism dept. Leh will be held soon to further brainstorm on the proposal in particular and policy on the environment in general.  

The meeting was attended byMohd Ali ,Secretary DACE Divisional Forest Officer, Leh and Administrator MC Leh.
