Meeting on progress of the Ladakh Buddha Vihara upgradation project.
Leh :

Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, reviewed the progress of the Ladakh Buddha Vihara upgradation project in a meeting attended by Chering Dorjey Lakrook, President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA); Dorjey Gyatso, Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD); and Imran Khan, Executive Engineer of the Construction Division.

During the meeting, Adv. Gyalson expressed serious concerns about the slow pace of work on the project, which is focused on enhancing the infrastructure and facilities of the revered Buddha Vihara that serves as a shelter for patients, pilgrims, and students. The delays, primarily caused by contractor negligence and challenges related to Delhi's pollution control measures, have significantly hindered progress.

The CEC emphasized the critical need to complete the project within the revised timeline. He instructed the concerned authorities and contractors to prioritize and expedite the work, ensuring adherence to the updated schedule.
