CEC tours Singay Lalok region of Lingshed constituency Inaugurates, lays foundation stone for various infrastructural projects
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson conducted two-day tour to the Singay Lalok region of Lingshed constituency on October 18 and 19.
CEC visited Lingshed, Dipling, Neraks, Yulchung, Skumpata, and Hanupata villages and interacted with public gatherings at all the villages. He reviewed public grievances and took stock of all the important issues that needed to be addressed on a priority basis for the welfare of the communities. He also highlighted major developmental projects that have been achieved and emphasised on early completion of the ongoing major developmental works in the Trans Singay Lalok region.
All the villagers of Singay Lalok region wholeheartedly appreciated and expressed gratitude to CEC Tashi Gyalson for fulfilling their long-pending demands and addressing major grievances since his assumption of the Chair. They mentioned that Singay Lalok (which is considered one of the most remote regions of Leh district) saw a huge transformational development post-formation of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
CEC inaugurated the newly constructed Govt. Primary School at Neraks, an upgraded Middle School with additional classrooms at Yulchung, a Community Hall at Neraks, a Community Rest House at Lingshed, and a Community Hall at Photoksar. CEC Gyalson handed over an additional source of Power backup especially to be used during the winter season in the Trans-Singay-la region. He also handed over a set of Public Address System to the people of Dipling village.
He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of link road from Sumdo to Photoksar via Askuta, a link Road from Skumpata village to Sungru-Dho, construction of a link road from Lingshed to Dipling, a link road from Lingshed to Linshed-Dho, a link road from NTPHC to Yogos Yokma Lingshed via Shilang-khor, re-development of NTPHC Lingshed, a construction of Rest House at Neraks, a construction of staff quarters at MAC Neraks, and the construction of a Community hall at Yulchung village.
After a thorough assessment of the major grievances put forward by the villagers during the visit, CEC Tashi Gyalson instructed all the District Officers and Departmental HoDs to ensure timely resolution of their issues. He also directed the concerned officers to look into major issues such as land compensation, rectification in JJM works, ensuring adequate resources for livestock herders, registration and training of SHGs under NRLM, need for chain-link fencing at required places, need for additional manpower in schools, medical centres, and other required departments and the implementation along with mass awareness on social and community welfare schemes in the Trans Singay-la region.
