To review the Ramzan arrangements, Gyal P. Wangyal, CEC in presence of Tsering Sandup, Deputy Chairman and Mumtaz Hussain, EC, Minority Affairs convened a meeting with the concerned departments and stakeholders at Council Secretariat on April 20. 

The holy month of Ramzan is starting from April 25. 

CEC Wangyal directed SE PDD, Leh to provide uninterrupted power supply during the Ramzan month in Leh and surrounding areas and adequate power supply through DG Sets in Muslim populated villages which are not connected with the main power line in the district.
 
Sherap Gyalson, Assistant Director,  FCS&CA department, Leh; Gh. Sultan Tak, Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Leh; Phunchok Wangyal, President Merchant Association Leh and wholesalers of Leh were also directed to ensure availability of essential commodities as per the rate list fixed by the administration.

FCS&CA and Cooperative department were directed to provide rations and essential commodities from their outlets in all the Muslim populated villages of district during the holy month.
 
The meeting was attended by Dr. Zahida Bano, ADC, Leh; Tsewang Paljor, SE PDD and few wholesalers of Leh.
