A review meeting of the power sector was convened by Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Hill Council, Leh on July 25 at Council Secretariat. 

Gyal P Wangyal took stock of the physical and financial achievements of the power sector under various centrally sponsored schemes and Capex Budget of Hill Council Leh 2020-21.

He reviewed the progress of ongoing transmission line projects including the extension of 66 KV main power grid lines to connect rural areas and completion of substations and transformers in the rural and urban areas of Leh district.

Going through all the new and ongoing projects, Gyal P Wangyal sets a deadline for the completion of all the projects. He directed executing agencies to complete the projects in rural areas on priority so that far off and un-electrified villages could be electrified at the earliest. 

Progress of projects under Capex Budget 2020-21 being executed by PDD and LREDA was also reviewed. He stressed to achieve maximum progress in the coming months.
