Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting regarding discussion on the ongoing SDP of various departments at the Council Secretariat, Kargil on April 24.

CEC was informed about various ongoing SDP plans, allocation, expenditure, and status of 16 departments including the Labour Department, ITI, Tourism, Information, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Social Welfare, Polytechnic, ICDS, Culture, PWD, I&FC, PHE, Mechanical Division, REW, SVD Sankoo, MC Kargil, Employment and works taken by executing agencies like the CPWD, NHIDCL, etc.

While addressing the meeting, the CEC directed that all the plans under the SDP scheme of the district should be vetted by LAHDC, Kargil. He said after discussion and approval of the LAHDC, the proposals shall be sent to the UT Administration for approval.

He further stressed that under SDP, the LAHDC, Kargil will monitor all the projects. He directed the concerned departments to approve the action plans and also reviewed the allocation of the ongoing SDP scheme for the Financial Year 2023-24.

Khan also directed the District Social Welfare Officer, Kargil to wide publicity of all Social Welfare Schemes in the district at the earliest.

The proposals for new works for the Financial Year 2023-24 were also presented and various developmental works under SDP were discussed. Various steps that need to be taken for the timely completion of development were discussed in the meeting.

He directed the officers to synergize their efforts so that the requisite results are achieved within the stipulated time and also get necessary feedback about the status of works and implementation of various initiatives on the ground.
