CEC, Kargil, joins flag off ceremony of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra
CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon virtually joined the flag-off ceremony of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by Prime Minister of India from Kunthi District Jharkhand marking the celebration of the third ‘Jajatiya Gaurav Diwas’ (Tribal Pride Day) 2023 on 15 November.
He also flagged off two dedicated outreach IEC vans that will cover all panchayats in the district during Yatra. On this occasion, he appreciated the efforts of the district administration for this initiative and stressed ensuring larger-scale awareness of welfare schemes by all departments for the benefit of the people of Kargil.
DC Kargil on the occasion said the campaign aims to reach out to beneficiaries of the Centre's flagship programs both in rural and urban areas and appealed to public representatives and the public for active participation during the campaign.
The specially designed IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) vans will visit all 98 panchayats in the district along with Officers and officials of different departments propagating various schemes of the Government of India and educating the people about the benefits of schemes and saturate the Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra focuses on reaching out to people creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes. Through the program, enrolment of potential beneficiaries will take place through details ascertained during the yatra.
Later in the day, the first outreach camp under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was held at Pashkum B panchayat and saw wide participation of panchayat representatives and the public.
