CEC, Kargil, Commissioner/Secretary, Ladakh, discuss several issues of Kargil district
Feroz Ahmad Khan, CEC, Hill Council, Kargil and Rigzin Samphel Commissioner Secretary Ladakh discussed several issues of Kargil District on April 4.
Feroz Ahmad raised several issues including the early opening of Zojila Pass for the supply of essential commodities and petroleum products, shortage of essential commodities in Kargil markets as well as smaller shops in far-flung areas, stocking of essential commodities in the wake of the upcoming holy month of Ramzan and other related issues.
Feroz Khan further said that that the present supply of essential commodities through the IAF cargo planes is not adequate to suffice to the requirements of the people and underlined the need to enhance the quantity of essential commodities procured.
Other issues included the preparation of a roadmap for the evacuation of left out pilgrims from Iran stranded at Srinagar and Jammu, preparation of a roadmap for already evacuated pilgrims whose quarantine period is getting completed, early setting up of COVID-19 hospital with proper facilities.
Commissioner Secretary assured that the issues would be taken up with the UT Administration so that decisions are taken at the earliest.
