Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Hill Council, Leh launched Drinking Water Quality Testing vehicles under Jal Jeevan Mission on September 1 at Council Secretariat. 

Superintending Engineer, PWD Leh Pardip Sharma, and Executive Engineer PHE Leh, Sonam Wangchok briefed that the drinking water quality testing will be carried out in all the blocks of Leh district aiming to provide clean and healthy drinking water in the district.

During the water quality testing, water samples will be collected from the water sources to delivery points at grass root level in all the villages. The mission will ensure the smooth operation of water supply, verification of the safety of drinking water, investigation of disease outbreaks and validation process, and preventive measures in the entire district.
