Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon chaired a review meeting regarding the construction of two new blocks in the vicinity of 300 bedded District Hospital, Kargil on 26 February.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer R&B, Chief Medical Officer, Kargil, Medical Superintendent and consultant design planning forum.

The consultant gave a detailed presentation regarding new block A & B. He said that on the ground floor of Block A, rooms will be constructed for the ICU, HDU, and Medical Ward. On the ground floor of Block B, the design is made for the construction of the trauma, accident, emergency, OPD block, and diagnostics.

He further informed that on the first floor of Block B, rooms will be constructed for ophthalmology, dental section, geriatric ward, chemotherapy, dialysis ward and DIC unit.

The consultant also informed the CEC that on the first floor of Block-A, rooms will be constructed for gynaecologist OT, ENT and physiotherapy.

The CEC directed the consultant to make the necessary changes in the plan as discussed in the meeting in consultation with doctors and other stakeholders and give the final presentation to CEC before sharing the plan with the Union Territory Administration.
