Block Task Force Committee finalizes Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization programme strategies
Leh Block Task Force Committee finalizes the strategies and action plan for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme-2022 at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chuchot on February 24.
Incharge Block Medical Officer, Leh, Dr. Dolma Choskit informed about the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme, scheduled for February 27, where children up to 5 years are to be vaccinated. She said that a total target of 5921 children below 5 years, including 4853 locals and 438 non-locals would be covered. To ensure maximum coverage 139 booths are set up with four staff members in each booth and mobile teams are also formed. 556 medical and paramedical staff including ASHAs and Anganwadi workers is part of the polio immunization drive.
The meeting was attended by Naib Tehsildar, Chuchot, Mohd Rahulla; Incharge Block Medical Officer (BMO), Leh, Dr Dolma Choskit; Block Development Officer (BDO), Chuchot, Tsewang Dorjay; Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Leh, Shakila Bano; Zonal Resource Person (ZRP), Chuchot, Phunchok Namgail and Assistant Exhibition and Cultural Officer (AE&CO), Information Department, Leh, Stanzin Wangmo.
