KARGIL :
In order to ensure punctuality and discipline in Government offices, Vikas Kundal, DC, Kargil inaugurated the Biometric attendance system on June 4 at DC office complex, Kargil.
District Informatics Officer informed about the features of the new mode of attendance system.
Vikas Kundal said that the system will facilitate the authorities to compile and examine the attendance status of the employees easily thereby consolidating the reward and penalty system in Government offices. He further added that this will also ensure prompt public service delivery and improve the work culture in the offices.
The biometric attendance system developed by NIC is a user-friendly system through which employees can mark their attendance simply by entering the last 8 digits of their Aadhaar number and thereafter imprinting any one of their fingers on the Biometric attendance device. The employees have to mark both incoming and outgoing attendance.
The officers and officials registered their attendance on biometric attendance system.
