A review meeting on the week-long programme on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (BBBP) was convened by Tsering Angchuk, Block Development Officer Leh, on January 23 at Rural Development Office Leh.

The meeting discussed the celebration of National Girl Child Day on January 24, where Tsering Angchuk directed the Sarpanch and Naib Sarpanch of different halqas to participate.

Also, it discussed the activities and implementation of BBBP programme at grass root level in the entire district.

Dr. Disket Dolma, BMO Leh briefed about the past and present status of child sex ratio in the district.

Tsewang Phuntsog, ZRP, Leh; Shakila Bano, CDPO, Leh; Gurmat Namgail, Tehsildar, Leh; Sarpanches and Naib Sarpanches of Choglamsar, Farka, Phyang and Spituk halqa were present.
