Awareness program on poster and video making competition held at Sankoo campus, GDC Kargil
Sankoo Campus, GDC Kargil, in collaboration with the SVEEP Team Kargil, organized an awareness program on December 7 for college students. The event focused on encouraging participation in the Union Territory-level Poster and Video Making Competition themed "Encouraging Newly Eligible Voters to Register and Participate in the Electoral Process."
Dr. Ahmad Ali, Assistant Professor of Zoology, delivered a talk on the 'Importance of Informed Prospective Voters,' emphasizing the need for vigilant and responsible voting to elect capable leaders for the betterment of society.
Dr. Azra Khatoon, SVEEP Convenor of the college campus, addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of voter education and the need for inclusive and fair elections. She stressed the role of youth in driving positive change within the community and urged students to actively participate in the poster and video-making competition to achieve SVEEP’s objectives.
Bashir Hussain, a core SVEEP member from Kargil, delivered a detailed lecture on ECI SVEEP initiatives and provided insights into the competition. He explained that the short videos should be 1–2 minutes long with a maximum size of 100 MB, while posters should not exceed 10 MB.
The program was moderated by Mohd. Hassanain, a fifth-semester student of Sankoo Campus, and concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Azra Khatoon.
The event witnessed the participation of senior faculty members, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and members of the District SVEEP Team.
