A progress of the ongoing development projects in Nyoma and Durbuk block was reviewed by Avny Lavasa, DC during her three days tour from April 5 to 7 in Changthang.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma and Durbuk besides other senior officers of R&B, PHE, RDD LDA, Wildlife Warden and Revenue Officers of Nyoma and Durbuk sub-divisions accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.

Avny Lavasa said that district administration is making all efforts to facilitate the people of Leh district with all basic amenities like road connectivity, safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, improved healthcare facilities, education, road connectivity besides better lanes and drains.

Stating that there is no constraint of funds under development sectors, she directed the concerned department officers to complete all the ongoing development in both the Sub-Divisions within stipulated time frame by using quality material.

She urged the people of Nyoma and Durbuk to cooperate with executing agencies in completing the ongoing development projects within the stipulated time frame.

At the Centralized Residential School, Puga, Avny Lavasa interacted with the teaching, non-teaching staff members and students and reviewed the education infrastructure in the school.

She asked the teaching fraternity to provide quality and moral education to the students and asked the parents to send their wards in schools for better tomorrow.

A public grievances redressal camp was also convened at Korzok, Chumoor and Tsaga villages. Redressing the grievances Avny Lavasa assured to even out the problems on a priority basis without any delay.  And also to take up the issue related to army and ITBP with higher authorities for immediate redressal.

She informed that an instruction has been issued to all the officers to reach out the people and personally assess the development related issues.

Regarding relocation of Pangong camping site, the matter was taken up with Councillor, Chushul Constituency, ACD, SDM, Durbuk, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer LDA, Wildlife Warden and Incharge Police Post, Chushul.
