Army organises National integration tour for 25 students of Govt Higher Secondary School, Padum
Three teachers and 25 students (including 18 girls) of class 10th and 11th of Govt Higher Secondary School, Padum were set on National Integration Tour which has been planned to be con-ducted over 15 days.
The tour was organised by Forever in Operations Division under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps and was flagged off at Kumbathang on 9 November by Maj Gen Nagendra Singh, YSM, SM GOC,
Forever in Operations Division.
The students would be visiting Chandigarh, Delhi, and Agra and would interact with senior military officials along with eminent personalities from the field of sports, to motivate them for their future endeavors. To provide them a glimpse of the rich culture and traditions of India, the students would be visiting India Gate, Red Fort, National War Memorial, and Taj Mahal during the tour.
The tour has been planned to ignite young minds, and enhance their knowledge base with a lifetime experience.
Indian Army remains committed to its efforts to assist the Ladakh administration in providing better education opportunities to the youth from remote areas of Ladakh.
